A nicely appointed and great quality hotel in Midleton with knowledgeable staff in bar inexperienced and very young receptionist. Location - excellent and wonderful short walk to Midleton and the town centre. Also, in the newly built Bistro.

Generally, loved this great and magnificent accommodation with courteous stuff in bar inexperienced and very young receptionist. The location was marvellous, we where right by the heart of Midleton. There was an amazing restaurant at walking distance from the hotel.

We only stayed one night at the hotel but found it very satisfactory. The rooms were clean, well-stocked and very comfortable. Our only problem was arriving back at half two to find the bar shut, having been told it was open until four, however the night porter was very helpful and delivered a drink to our room. A brief visit was made to the leisure centre the following morning, of which the out door hottub was the highlight, a wonderful hangover cure!
The breakfast was a bit sparse, it did the job but not worth a tenner I thought.

Good location. Leisure center nice.
A lot of street noise. Attracts a lot of unruly, loud residents. Not a great place for business travel. Hotel tolerates noisy smoking outside front door and had to ring to complain about this at 1am on a Thursday night (wondering why local residents tolerate the hotel racket). Parking is sufficient for hotel, but not sufficient if there is any kind of event on. One night there was absolutely no parking in the hotel and vicinity and had to park in a residential area close by - this is very unfair on local residents.

More fun than I expected!
We were kinda surprised at how close this charming hotel was to local attractions like the distillery. Dinner and breakfast were good, with plenty of options to choose from. The staff were accommodating, accommodating our early check-in request without hesitation. Just a few slow service moments during meals were all that slightly dampened our experience.
